Hair-Tastrophy

Having a bad hair day? Again? Stop hiding under your ponytail and make a major statement instead.

Hair-tastrophy #1: Your hair is getting thinner and thinner as you are getting older and older
You could get a professional weave, a wig or hair extensions or could simply use a dry shampoo that will make fine hair feel thicker such as Klorane Extra Gentle Dry Shampoo or Lee Stafford Poker Straight Dry Shampoo for Oily Roots.

These shampoos are best reputed for removing a greasy appearance which gives the illusion of thicker more voluptuous hair. Start by mixing it into your roots for added density. You might not be able to suddenly grow fuller locks but you sure can fake it like the best of ‘em.

Hair-tastrophy #2: Years of hair abuse has severely damaged your tresses
Sounds like you need a hydrating oil and fast! Bleaching, teasing, perming, straightening and any other type of heat intensifying destruction will basically fry your hair like steak on a barbeque.

A capsule of Phyto Huile D’Ale with castor plant oil, essential oils of Sage, Rosemary and Juniper berries are sure to do the trick and add shine, softness and life back to otherwise suffering strands.

Hair-tastrophy #3: Ironing your hair straight lasts about as long as the iron is on your hair
If your hair gets frizzy once it feels a hint of humidity, it’s quite purposeless to spend a good hour trying to tame it straight.

You can however, help it to behave by using a conditioning spray such as Vavoom Gold Heat Iron in Volume Protective Dry Mist before ironing. It will hold straightened locks in place by sealing the product into the hair. Several celebrity hair stylists swear by this technique and the glam on the red carpet is proof of its success.

Hair-tastrophy #4: Undo the undoable do
If you’re like many troopers who decide to dye your hair yourself, you might have also been a victim of some nasty results.

To avoid any future hair color atrocities, a good tip to remember is that you have a 48 hour window to strip hair of its semi permanent color. It might not be completely gone but at least most of it will be removed. Wash hair a couple of times with a dandruff or clarifying shampoo.

If you somehow managed to miss your 48 hour window, have patience for approximately 6-8 washes where there color will eventually fade away and if the shade is a permanent, you still have hope at a professional hair salon.
